I primarily build websites on Squarespace because it strikes the perfect balance between powerful customisation and everyday usability.

Squarespace is a great website platform to customise as it offers modern design, flexible layout options, and built‑in tools for SEO and e‑commerce that let me create a site that truly reflects your business and goals.

At the same time, it’s user‑friendly enough that my clients can confidently add to and update their own sites after launch. Whether that’s publishing new blog posts, adding portfolio pieces, adding products, updating service pages, or tweaking images and text, you won’t need to call me for every small change. That independence saves you time and money in the long run while keeping your site fresh and relevant.

I also work across other platforms and have hands‑on experience in Wix, Shopify, and WordPress. If your business needs a different ecosystem (for example, a more complex online store) I’m happy to discuss the best fit and build accordingly.

But for most small businesses and creatives, Squarespace gives the ideal mix of beautiful design, solid performance and easy ongoing management.

Most small-business sites take 3–6 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on how large the site is, how quickly content is ready and the complexity of features (e.g. e‑commerce, bookings).

I usually work in stages: discovery (goals, audience, content), site structure and wireframes, design in Squarespace, content build‑out, testing, and then launch (woohoo!) which includes a short handover/training session.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Draft text for your main pages (Home, About, Services/Products, Contact, etc.)

• Your logo and any brand assets (colours, fonts, style guide)

• Key images (team, location, past work, products)

• A clear idea of your goals (e.g., more bookings, more calls, online sales) and who you’re trying to reach

If you don’t have all of this yet, that’s fine, I can help you plan and create it.

I can:

• Structure and edit your existing content so it’s clear and on‑brand

• Write your pages from scratch with a copywriting add‑on (Home, About, Services, SEO‑focused pages, etc.)

• Source high‑quality stock images or advise on a short photo shoot with a local photographer, which often makes a big difference for local businesses

Yes. I can refresh/update or fully rebuild sites on Squarespace and other platforms, keeping what works and then improving structure, design, speed and Search Engine Optimisation and Answer Engine Optimisation (Google & AI).
